Lisle is a smooth, lightweight, tightly twisted thread. It is usually constructed of long-staple cotton, a cotton with long fibers. Lisle gloves are most often used for inspections and sensitive, low-lint applications. These hemmed, medium-weight lisle inspectors are a cotton/polyester blend.
